I recently discovered Charlotte Tilbury when reading an article about her in this months Glamour magazine, i fell in love with her makeup looks and couldnt not share them.
I have a nice inspiring post for you today, grab a drink and have a read.

I've recently really been diving into the ebay world and trying different sellers and items, as it's often so cheap I don't mind if it's not that great, and if it is good then that's perfect :)
I have wanted a choker sort of style necklace for a little hike and when I saw this one (99p!) I thought I may as well see what it's like, i do think it's slightllyyy cheap feeling but when it's on it doesn't look so. I do think this was worth the value and worth buying!
The other necklace(£1.19+0.28p delivery) is a semicircle on a chain with a triangle/tribal pattern, this one does not look as cheap as the other and I think this is definitely worth the money, I would have paid more for this in a shop.
Both were delivered together with 2/3 weeks, considering they came from Hong Kong it was pretty quick.
I do think these necklaces look better with high neckline tops, especially plain ones, it really adds detail to an outfit.
Both necklaces are from a seller called 'dtwell' if you would like to check them out, they sell a lot of stuff!
What sort of things do you buy on ebay?
I recently went to boots and was a bit naughty :)
Maybelline had an offer on for 3 for 2 so I couldn't resist!
Maybelline blusher- flash plum
I've wanted a brown shade of the colour tattoos for a while, as I already have a blue one and it's great, so decided to go for on and on bronze, I also have wanted a new blusher for a while and as it's now autumn I thought this darker shade would be perfect, finally I picked up my first ever baby lips!
Cherry me
They are hyped about so much so I thought i'd see what the fuss was about, I will probably do a review on this soon.
Mist you madly
After leaving the makeup aisle I got pulled in by soap and glory and bought their body mist, it smells really nice and lasts so long! It's the first time I've bought it but when it runs out I may buy it again..
Lastly, I bought one of the Vaseline moisturisers (why did I not buy one in summer?!) I am so lazy when it comes to moisturising my body, having to wait for it to dry, and finding one that doesn't feel sticky is difficult, now it's an easy task! I got it in cocoa because I love the smell.
~~Do you enjoy haul posts? Have you been shopping lately?
Just a quick "FOTD" post for you. :)
I recently rediscovered my Calvin Klein eyeshadow pair, and have been using it quite a bit recently, I made a nice girly pink look with this, the lighter colour makes a nice inner corner highlight and I used the darker in my crease and outer corner :)

I just have to say, I love this eyeliner, it's better than any liquid eyeliner i've ever used.
Extreme 24hr felt tip liner by collection 2000
It's a felt tip liner which I think is amazing because it allows you to create such precise lines without being messy! (Which I always am with very liquid-y eyeliners)
I cannot do flicks to save my life but with this I can which is what made me buy it in the first place!
I've had mine for a long time and it hasn't dried up, plus the nib is still as pointy as when I first bought it.
This shows how precise you can make the lines, I must say I was being too delicate on my hand and it would normally be more opaque on your eyes, I added one more swipe to show you here:
I also have to mention the staying power. Oh how good it is. I applied this on my eyes very early one morning, had a full day at college, then went to work (where I run around a lot) then when I took it off at 11 that evening it was still intact, no smudges or creasing.
I would definitely recommend this eyeliner, especially if you're on a budget, it's only £2.99 in superdrug!
Now to get the other colours..
~ sorry for the lack of posts!! Do you own this eyeliner? What is your favourite eyeliner?
I love this quote a lot, I've heard it many times over the years, but I I never leave it in the back of my mind. I think this quote is great because it pushes yourself to be nicer to people, and to encourage you to be more confident with new people, I personally get rather nervous meeting new people and just a constant worrier of embarrassing myself! This quote really helps you to think about how you want to be as a person yourself and encourage you to make better decisions :)
~what's the type of person you'd like to meet?
I think I may write a motivational post every Sunday, this day is the day I'm 9 out of 10 times free, let me know if you like them :)
(Photo from weheartit)
So I've wanted to start writing some positivity posts for a while now, and with a difficult 1st year at college with many things going on, i think it's time for me to buckle down and start being more positive about life, I used to see everything in a good way and nothing really brought me down, I'd like to go back to that feeling and thought this would be the best way :) I'm also hoping this may help someone else too :)
So first of all it's just simply "think positive" don't look at all the negatives of a situation (I know that's hard) but just think, is this really going to affect me in a drastically negative way? Weigh the positives and negatives together - you can even write a list of them all. I just think this is the first step in being happy :)
P.S Sorry for the ramble at the beginning!
Xxx
~do you like reading these sort of posts? Would you like me to write more?
I finally did a glitter fade mani! I've wanted to do one for ages with matte black and here it is :)
I used a black nail varnish from a nail art kit by the brand rio, and this pretty glitter nail varnish called "stunning" by Revlon, it's full of lots of little glitter and big specs, and to make the black matte I used NYC's matte me crazy.
I simply painted a stripe of glitter on my tips, wipe the brush dryish, then drag it down, once my nails were dry I added another coat to the tip to make it thicker and more of a "fade"
I really love this and I'm definitely going to do more glitter fades :)
~Have you ever done a glitter fade mani?
What's your current favourite nail art?
Xx
Just thought I would do a little post showing my current (small) Barry m nail varnish collection.
I have three special effects ones, 2 crackles and a crocodile one. I have to say the gold crackle isn't very good, I love the colour, but it just dries all around the lid and on the brush where it has already reacted and just goes a bit weird, which means its a pain to put on!
The other two are plain black, I personally love the crocodile one it's such a cool simple nail art effect! It particularly looks good over silver nail varnish.
I then also have three standard nail varnishes and 3 jelly ones.
The best thing for me about Barry m varnishes is the colours, they always have nice colours and are constantly adding new current trend colours at an affordable price.
I've written a little review of the jelly ones including a manicure with them on in a previous post if you want to check that out :)
Below shows the names of each colour:
I recently bought this on an offer along with the maybelline falsies mascara, and unlike most people I'm more of an eyes person than lips because I think you can be a bit more creative with eyes, however lately a few lip products have been sneaking into my makeup collection...
I really like this colour (coral tonic) I think it's very summery, and it's not too bright, bright lipsticks do not suit me! It's a pinky coral but appears slightly darker than in the tube, I really like the packaging, the way the coloured lid just 'snaps' into place.
I'd say the staying power is okay, depending on eating/drinking, at least 2 hours.
Overall I think it's a great summer lip product and I will be wearing it a lot :)
~~what's your favourite summer lip product? Do you own any colour sensational lipsticks?
I recently went out for a birthday meal, and haven't used a maybelline colour tattoo i bought yet! And as I was wearing blue I decided now was the time to use it! I never really use cream eye shadows but I think I may buy some more now.
I used the colour tattoo all over the lid using my finger, it applied easily, I did find it to be a bit patchy, however 2 layers sorted it out. It's such a gorgeous bluey-purple colour. This worked as a great base and kept my eyeshadow in place for the whole evening.
I then used MUA's undressed palette which has a perfect shimmery blue that I knew would go with it, I used shade twelve in the outer corners and crease, and then shade 11 on the corners of my eyes.
Since I discovered fragrance direct about a month ago, I have become obsessed, the pricing, delivery time etc. if you didn't know, Fragrance direct is a website that sells fragrances and beauty products, very cheaply! They can do this because there's no "middle man" they sell it straight from the manufacturers.
So on with the haul..
Left to right- NYC Matte me crazy, Revlon Charasmatic, Revlon Cloud, Essie Bond with whomever, Rimmel Princess Pink and NYC matte me crazy again.
4 of these are presents, so only 2 are mine and that explains why I have 2 of matte me crazy haha.
I've wanted a pastel purple for a long time and I couldn't help but "slip" this in the basket when I saw the essie one! I've also wanted a Matte top coat for a while since the Rimmel one came out but they stopped selling it in store, so saw this and got it too.
A lot of people are obsessed with lipsticks but I like to focus more on my eyes, and I don't own any blending brushes or an angled one! I've already got a royal eyeshadow brush which is pretty good so thought is give these a try.
Finally I got a Rimmel moisture renew lipstick as I've heard good things about these and I got it in the colour "Berry Queen".
P.S if you use the code 206VC you get an extra 5% off.
Have you bought anything from fragrance direct before?
I went into superdrug to get the maybelline falsies flash lash affect mascara as I haven't tried it yet! And when I went in there they have an offer on most of the maybelline products for 2 for £10 which is great as the mascara alone is £8 so technically you either spend £2 on something else or £5 each :) I decided to get a colour sensational lipstick with it in the colour coral tonic.
So I'm all finished for summer now (minus work) and going to have a lot of free time, last year all I did was paint my nails different patterns every week and became obsessed! I don't have as much time anymore so will hopefully paint them more again for a while.
I'm new to essie and these are my second and third buys, they are both really pretty pinks! The lighter shade is "we're in this together" and the darker shade is "cascade cool". (P.S the sun made the varnish go a bit 'bitty' on my nails so please excuse!)
We're in this together is a baby pink with a hint of shimmer in and is veryy pretty.
Cascade cool is a slightly darker pink and has no shimmer, this colour particularly was very opaque and you could just use 1 coat, I used 2 coats of each colour here.
This face mask is an aloe Vera deep cleansing mud mask and is designed to really clean your pores - and it does! I definitely notice a difference in my skin when I use it, which is about once a week, if you use it in the bath it's even better because the steam opens up your pores. I find my skin looks generally a bit clearer and I have less breakouts when I use this, it is also pretty moisturising. I put a thin layer on for 10/15 minutes and then wash off with warm water, my skin always feels great after.
I definitely recommend this face mask, it's in a tube so lasts a long time, you definitely get your money's worth out of it as its only £2.59 in superdrug. They also do a few other different types for different purposes so go have a look :)

This is my first monthly faves - bare with me!
Mua eyeshadow palette - Undressed.
•I only recently bought this and have only
Used it Once! But I already love it, they are very pigmented and have such pretty colours :)
Essie "bikini so teeny"
•This colour is so pretty! Blue is one
Of my favourite colours and pastels are very popular now so this is perfect. I did a previous post of this on my nails so feel free to check it out :)
Benefits "they're real" mascara.
• I have a massive love hate relationship with this mascara, I hate it because the plastic wand is harsh on my eyes and goes so so clumpy! But I love it because it lengthens my lashes unlike any other mascara I've tried.
Rimmel stay matte powder.
• I use this every day and is generally a good powder.
Natural collection bronzer
•I bought this a longgg time ago and tried to venture away from it untill I rediscovered it recently and fallen back in love, it's a pinky bronzer with a bit of shimmer.
Rimmel wake me up concealer:
•just a standard concealer, this is great under my eyes.
Collection eye definite liquid eyeliner.
•recently been venturing into winged eyeliner and I've been using this, it's good but the staying time isn't very good.
Sleek contour kit.
•I loovvee this! I use the highlighter more than the contour and it's amazing.
Bodyshop Teatree face lotion.
•I bought this during the 40% off sale online (which is still going - use code EXTRATREAT) and it seems to be working. It's supposed to clear up your skin and I think it has made a bit of a difference, it's also a nice moisturiser too.
So these are just a few of my favourite things in June, what products/music/food have you been loving?
Bikini so teeny
I recently bought this essie nail varnish and it's my first ever one! It's a pastel blue with a slight glittery/shimmer finish which is ever so subtle but looks very pretty! I've heard good things about essie but didn't know what to expect, so far I think it's pretty good, 2 coats and its opaque and the brush is a nice thick size making it easy to glide across your nails.
I find it so difficult to pick essie nail colours because there's so much choice! What's your favourite colour?
Bit behind with this.. But oh well haha :) (again) I've never done a favourites post before but I thought it would be a nice in depth post to start off with.
1) Real techniques brushes:
Here are the buffing brush and the contour brush, I love these soo much they are amazing, the buffing brush really works foundation into your skin giving a natural look. The powder brush is equally as good and is a nice little size, I use it to put powder under my eyes, for blusher, contouring and highlighting- so multipurpose !
2) Rimmel wake me up concealer:
I love this concealer a lot because it doesn't go cakey and it is great under my eyes to brighten them up.
3) Rimmel stay matte powder:
Now everyone obsesses over this powder, and I can see why, it is pretty good, however I don't think it has much staying power as some people say.
4)Sleek contour and highlight in shade light:
I'm in love with this, used it most days since I bought it, I mainly use the highlighter rather than the contour, it's so pretty and shines so nicely in the light and can really make you look glowing.
5)Mua palette:
This is my go to palette as it has a range of colours in and they are highly pigmented. I love the shimmery cream colour(top left) on the inner Corners of my eyes, and lately ive been using it all of the lid with eye liner to create a bright look rather than my usual browns.
6) benefit they're real mascara:
I'm sort of love/hate with this, I love it because it makes my lashes look better than with any other mascara but I hate it because it goes clumpy and flakes all over my eyes sometimes.
7) aviators:
The sun was finally shining for about a week and I wanted some aviators, these were only cheap ones from primark but I wanted a pair quick while I was out in the sunshine :)
8) sanex deodorant:
This a weird thing to talk about but I find so many deodorants smell too perfume-y and this smells nice and actually does the job! I also love it cause it leaves no white marks at all!
