Hi Everyone,
I recently went to primark just to have a quick little look at their summer bits, I mainly wanted to see if they had any summer dresses/skirts as I don't own much summer clothing. I picked up a few bits so thought I would share them with you.
Green Midi Dress £6 - This was one of my favourite purchases of them all. I love this green khaki colour at the moment. It can be dressed up or dressed down and I love the length of it, you can't see it properly in the picture but it ends just below the knee and fits very well.
White Shiffon top £4 - I already own this top in a navy blue that I purchased last year but I love white tops and think this is very dressy and would look very summery with shorts and sandals.
White crop top - I've always thought you can't have too many white tops and I liked that this one had a high neckline.
Sunglasses £2 - Another one of my favourite purchases, I bought these as a spare pair for work but I love them so much I wear them all the time now and have received a few compliments on them as well.
Brown and gold Sandals £4 - I wanted some sandals that I could slip on without worrying about fiddly straps so I thought these would be perfect.
Brown shoes £4 - I needed some ballet shoes that I could wear all year round and thought these were pretty.
Rose gold leaf earrings £1.50 - I just thought these were very pretty for summer and I want to build up my collection of dangly earrings.
Hair Clips £1 - I originally thought these were regular hair grips and I like to stock up as they always go missing, I loved that they came in a little clear case which would be perfect for travelling. However when I got home I realised they were the wrong type! These are ones that you would use for styling rather than pinning hair back, I will make use of the cases thought so it wasn't a complete loss.
Hi guys, I'm so sorry for the lack of posts but it's been a crazy few months...
Today I want to talk about happiness, how I achieved it and you can too.
At the end of last year I was probably the unhappiest I've been, I was in a bad relationship, I was stressing with university deadlines, I was struggling with my family relationships, stressing about where I was living back home, I was also having bad confidence issues as well as not feeling like myself anymore.
I have a very vivid memory of me sat at my desk in my room at university when I was feeling really down, thinking about all the toxic things in my life at that point that were causing me to feel this way and I decided that I was going to change it. I knew that if I wanted to be happy then a lot changes had to be made, it was tough, but I knew it was what needed to be done. Of course it took a little while and I have had a little luck on the way (
like meeting certain people), but, I am proud of myself.
I don't want to go into too much detail into the changes I made or make this too personal, but the important thing is that I took control of my life and I turned it around. By January everything was different since then I'm the happiest I have ever been in my entire life.
I haven't gone into too much about myself because I want this post to be more about how you are in charge of your happiness and as much as you think you can't change it you can!
If you are in a bad relationship, end it. If you have family issues, talk about them. If your friends are being nasty, tell them. If you don't want to do something don't do it. It is possible to better your life
:) xx
Hello everyone, I hope you're well!
I know I've been naughty.. I've said the C word and its not december yet!
The other day I went to tesco to do my regular food shop, whilst I was in there I thought I would look at the candles to see if they had any decent ones, and as christmas is so close I decided to pick up the spiced berry one - I'm so glad I did. It smells ah-mazing. It's making me even more excited for december, colder weather, christmas markets, ice rinks and present buying!
The best thing about this candle is that it's only £2! They had a bigger one similar to the Yankee jars for £6 but I opted for a smaller one. Tesco have a whole range of scented candles all in different sizes ranging from tea lights to the jars. I was going to post a link to them but
every single scented candle is sold out! I'm sure they will have stock in store so if you get a chance, check them out!
~~What scents do you enjoy in winter?
Hi guys, hope you're well!
I just wanted to recommend my favourite autumn nail varnish, now that the leaves have fallen. For me it's the perfect autumn colour. i rarely wear dark colours on my nails so i never normally paint my nails during winter. However i wear this colour a lot. I think it works in all seasons but I prefer it for autumn. It's dark enough to replicate the colder months but not too dark for me. It's called 'raspberry' and it's by Barry-M.
I used 2 coats to get a good opaque colour. As with all Barry-M nail varnishes they last a good while with a top coat and their range of colours are gorgeous.
What are your favourite Autumn nail colours?
Hi guys, Today I am reviewing Velvet teddy by Mac. I've owned it for a while now and have had a good amount of time to use it and get to know what it's like.
So first of all there's no point commenting on packaging because who doesn't love Mac's bullets? The colour itself is a beautiful pinkish nude. On the swatch it looks like a rose colour.
As you can see it is a matte lipstick which is my favourite! However it still has a really creamy formula and glides on really well. It's one of those "I'm not wearing any lipstick" colours which i love as it goes with most looks. I also love how opaque it is, in the pictures I am only wearing one layer and only swatched one layer. You may also be able to see that like most matte lipsticks it can sometimes cling to dry skin so make sure to exfoliate your lips and prep them before wearing it.
I would say that the only con with this lipstick is it's staying power. Compared to my russian red which I could wear through a storm and it wouldn't budge, I feel like I am constantly aware that I may need to top it up soon. I would say its staying power is around 2 hours and needs topping up after eating and drinking.
However, to combat this I believe it would be great with a good lip liner, most people that own this wear it with the whirl lipliner as recommended by Kylie Jenner so maybe I will invest in a lip liner and see if it improves!
Overall I am smitten with this lipstick and definitely think it's worth the purchase, no matter what your skin tone is.
~~Do you own velvet teddy? Do you use a lip liner with it and do you have any recommendations?
Hey guys, on pinterest lately I've been loving baking posts and costume ones as halloween is so near... I hope you enjoy these pins and get some inspiration yourself.
Creative cupcakes!
The
shoe cupcakes appeared on my homepage and I couldn't believe how creative they were! So since then I haven't stopped looking at amazing cupcake ideas. In the process of being obsessed I also found these
burger ones, I thought it was such a unique idea and had to share it. It has inspired me to do some baking...
Halloween costumes!
With halloween only 2 weeks away I've been looking at interesting ideas as to what to dress up and in the process I found this post which was
"33 Magical disney costumes". I love these because they are not the obvious characters you would normally pick. They also don't have to be just for halloween which is a bonus. My favourite is definitely Emperor Kuzco but I'm also in love with the Queen of hearts costume.
Halloween Make-up!
One pin I have loved is a post by
Popsugar. Halloween can be very expensive so going as a skeleton is great if you're on a budget. The only face paint you need is black and white, and if you cant afford a costume, once again you can just wear black and white or even draw on your own bones. I love all the looks on this post as they are all individual and different. There is definately something to suit everyone and a look for all skill levels.
~~What have you been pinning lately? What are your plans for halloween?
