Hello guys, I thought it would be nice to do a weekly post on something that makes me happy, it's nice to appreciate little things in life and hope it can be relatable to you in some way.
So without further ado.. Something that makes me happy is a good cup of tea. Of course this has to be the first one I do, I
love tea!
It's on those days when you've been working, at school/college/uni, you're tired, it's cold and you're travelling home in the miserable weather. you get home, you put your cosy clothes on and you snuggle up in bed/or on the sofa, and a cup of tea is the perfect thing to warm you up.
Is there any little things in life that cheer you up and make you happy?
There's a really good quote I found whilst motivating myself fitness wise..
"When you feel like quitting, remember why you started".
Remember this daily!
I love reminding myself of this quote because I know I will use it a lot at uni! (I've even planned to have it printed and on show to keep it in my mind!)
I think it's really important to stay on track with whatever you're focusing on, wether it's sticking to your blogging, going to the gym, or working on an educational project at university/college etc. It could be anything.
This quote applies to so many different situations and makes you think about how far you've come. It reminds you of the goals you set yourself when you began the journey and tells you to keep on going!
This is definitely one of my top motivating quotes, my other favourite will be featured on here soon.
~~Are you going to remember this quote? What motivates you the most?
Hello everyone. This isn't a review, more of a "recent purchase" just thought I would share with you my latest lipstick buy. I know you're probably sick of hearing about this lipstick because since Kylie Jenner revealed it was the one she wears to complete her big lipped look everyone rushed out to buy it along with the whirl lip-liner (which I haven't bought...yet).
So it's "velvet Teddy" and is a matte lipstick and the colour is gorgeous. Unlike my Ruby woo matte lipstick from matte this one actually glides on nicely and lasts pretty well. I know I will get lots of use out of it.
On a side note, does anyone else have bad experiences with Mac? Every time I go in the staff are too busy to talk to anyone, and are not very friendly or helpful. Maybe it's just the one where I live but get such an opposite experience at benefit counters, they're always so eager to help and I normally end up buying more than I was supposed too. I didn't want this to be a rant I just want to know if anyone feels the same because it makes me sad as I love Mac products.
~~Do you own Velvet Teddy? What are your thoughts?
My Beauty Escape
Hello..
9 months later! I am so awful with sticking to this blog and it irritates me endlessly!
I have titled this
a new start (with a question mark of course in case I don't stay with it) as I am embarking on a new journey soon.. I will be starting University! I am extremely nervous and excited and all sorts of emotions but I know I will enjoy it.
So as I am going to be at uni not knowing many people and having lots of spare time I decided that I would try and keep up with this blog.. I have no excuse!
-And as for my 2015 Goals they didn't go so well... I
did end up buying more high end make-up and I've enjoyed it! you can really tell the difference between high street and high end (especially the price tag ;) ) But I've ended up falling deeply in love with Benefit.
I haven't managed to really save money for uni due to a number of different factors but that hasn't mattered much to me because I've had a very memorable gap year.
In the way of fitness I'm not exactly where I wanted to be however I have learnt a lot about my body and grown to like my image more.
Finally.. make this blog something I'm proud of..I cant really comment on that haha.
I do have a lot of beauty post ideas I wanted to write but haven't been able to take photos yet.. and as I've been neglecting my little space I thought that maybe a simple written post is a great way to ease my self back in.
1- Save money for university!
I'm currently on my gap year working full time and now that Christmas is over I want to focus on saving up for Uni. Anything I save will help a lot as I know loans take a while to come in and there's a lot of struggles as a student. I just don't want to be behind all the time.
2- Buy more High end beauty products
I know this is a silly one to put after I just said I want to save money haha, however I've always spent a lot of money on lots of high street items and been impressed by about 70% of what I Buy. I know not all high end products are great but I know a lot of them are more expensive for a reason: better quality! I just think it may be better to to spend the same amount of money on 2 better products rather than 10 Okay ones. It will also satisfy my cravings for the beautiful things I always lust after haha. 3- Get the body I've always wanted.
I know everyone does a new year resolution of wanting to get fit.. however!! I started my fitness in around November. And I love it :) all of last year I was on and off with my healthiness because I couldn't stay committed very well (I love food). My aim is to get to an ideal body shaped within the next few months and then from there get better. ( Do you like fitness posts?)
4- Make this blog something I'm proud of.
I made this blog a long time ago! But I've never told a single soul about it. I've just always thought if I told someone I had a blog they'de laugh. It's difficult to find the time to post and get ideas, all the while trying to keep it a secret. ( Am I being stupid?) . Anyway now I have no college stress I would like to devote time to this blog and enjoy it. I want to be proud of it.
These are my main goals for this year, I have lots of other little ones but this post would go on forever other wise!
What do you aim to achieve this year?
What a year 2014 was. I didn't post for 9 months which I'm rather annoyed about, however, it allowed me to find myself. In 2014 my life did a complete U-turn, the people in my life have changed, as well as my surroundings, my path and my mindset. And I'm happy!
I have decided to dedicate my time to this blog and actually create something with it. Something I'm not embarrassed to hide. I know it's going to take a while but I will get there.
I hope 2014 was a good year for you and that 2015 brings even better things.
xx
